In the frame of MUMM's participation in the ESA MERIS Validation Team, water-leaving radiance, suspended particulate matter and chlorophyll-a concentrations were measured at sea. In conjunction of sunphotometer measurements (MUMM) and satellite data (MERIS ocean colour sensor on the Envisat satellite), these results will be used to validate the MERIS processing alogorithms for mapping of suspended matter and chlorophyll-a concentrations.
